Liquid urethane casting resins are a staple today in the industry of Taxidermy and Fish Carving for all sort of uses and projects!
Once cured, IE Series™ Shore D Polyurethanes simulate polypropylene and ABS thermoplastics with high tensile strength, impact strength, and flexural modulus values. Heat deflection temperatures are as high as 230°F (110°C). The color matchable systems are ideal for: taxidermy Projects: amusement park models; foundry tooling; scale models; sculptures.
IE 3025 is an amazing product that is a top preforming casting material! I personally use this product each day when teaching the art of casting fins and many other uses when a translucent urethane plastic is needed for an application to create incredible outcomes! Easy to mix and very easy to use check out our demonstration clip to see more on how to use this product by Innovative Polymers! Shipping is determined by address. Always shipped under the guide lines of our fair shipping policy to save you money!
IE 3080 is an amazing product that is a top preforming casting material! The cousin to IE 3025 but with a longer gel time giving you that longer period of time to work when you need that little bit of extra time to pour a cast! Easy to mix and very easy to use check out our demonstration clip to see more on how to use this product by Innovative Polymers! Shipping is determined by address. Always shipped under the guild lines of our fair shipping policy to save you money!
IE-30801 is a translucent, rigid Shore D (65-75D) two-component castable polyurethane plastic with the same cured properties as IE-3025. This is a modified-reactivity version of IE-3080 (different cure/gel speed for the same cured hardness, color, and taxidermy applications).
IE-3030 is a white, rigid Shore D (65-75D) two-component castable polyurethane plastic, sharing the same core hardness and strength profile as IE-3010/IE-3050/IE-3070. This is our go to product each day when teaching the art of reproduction casting and many other uses when a strong, white cure urethane plastic is needed for an application to create incredible outcomes! In taxidermy, it’s often used for casting fish blanks and antler reproductions, where its rigidity and fine capturing of detail hold up well over repeated handling. It has a roughly 3-minute gel time, giving enough open time to fill detailed antler molds fully. Mix and pour at room temperature with good ventilation.

IE-3050 is a white, rigid Shore D (65-75D) two-component castable polyurethane plastic in the same core chemistry tier as IE-3010/IE-3030/IE-3070, with a longer 4-7 minute gel time for more working time on larger or more complex pours. It produces incredible, strong, extremely detailed outcomes! Its properties match the general-purpose rigid white urethane plastics used across the Rampf’s line of plastics for patterns, fixtures, and detail casting. Mix and pour at room temperature with good ventilation and appropriate PPE.
IE-3070 is a white, rigid Shore D (65-75D) two-component castable polyurethane plastic that’s a great casting material when strength and detail are needed. This is our go-to product each day when teaching the art of reproduction casting and many other uses when a strong white cure urethane plastic is needed for an application to create incredible outcomes! The cousin to IE 3030 but with a longer gel time giving you that longer period of time to work when you need that little bit of extra time to pour a cast!. Primary applications in taxidermy include fish body casting, antler reproduction, and reproduction blanks, feet, beaks, and other environmental components. It has a 6-10 minute gel time, giving a comfortable working window for larger pours like full fish bodies. Mix and pour at room temperature with good ventilation.
Easy to mix and very easy to use check out our demonstration clip to see more on how to use this product by Rampf! Shipping is determined by address. Always shipped under the guild lines of our fair shipping policy to save you money!
IE Taxidermy Roto-Cast is an versatile product that is a top preforming casting material which is a little thicker for for hand pours or roto-casting A Extremely strong, ridged urethane (plastic) when strength and detail is needed! When teaching the art of reproduction casting and many other uses, when a strong white cure urethane plastic is needed for an application to create incredible outcomes!
TP-4004 is an impact resistant polyurethane formulated for room temperature hand-batch or vacuum assisted casting methods. Excellent physical properties can be obtained without the utilization of mercury, MOCA, or TDI.

Shore D is a hardness scale for rigid plastics and hard rubbers, measured with a handheld durometer that presses a specific tip into the material and reads how much it resists indentation. The scale runs roughly 0–100, and it’s paired with a specific tip geometry and spring force calibrated for harder materials, unlike the related Shore A scale, which uses a different tip/force and is calibrated for softer, flexible rubbers.
The IE-3010/3025/3030/3050/3070/3078/3080 resins in your sheet all cure to 65–75D, which puts them in the same general hardness range as a hard plastic like a bowling ball or PVC pipe fitting, and is why RAMPF’s own literature describes them as simulating ABS or polypropylene once cured. For context, a soft phone case might sit around 70–90A, while something like a shopping cart wheel might be in the 60–70D range. So when a datasheet lists “65–75D,” it’s telling you the cured resin will feel rigid and rock-hard, not rubbery or squishy.
