KLEI Adhesive Epoxy Putty (4LB) Kit (Pronounced CLAY)

Hey there everybody gonna say hi to all and you Rick but I’m here to give a review on this product called Klei.
Those who know me understand that I pull no punches and as honest as I can be and I’m blunt.
Here are my pros and cons of this product. I will say I’m going to contradict myself here and when I’m done you’ll see why.
My main con is the stickiness of this product when mixed. At the time of mixing it’s as sticky as any epoxy mix used in the industry. You can’t roll out any fine lines at this time of mixing and trying to use it. So to aid you , take a small amount that you need and let it set there for about 5-7 Minutes maybe a few more if needed. Then it’s ready to roll out .
Now the workability of this product is great. As a fish judge we see a lot of issues with epoxy work as not smoothing it out , being very rough. With the use of a paintbrush and rubbing alcohol I can smooth it out quicker and better than the other products we use.
It adheres to skin and my plastic fins with no issues. So as I contradict myself now I’ll say how great I enjoy the stickiness of the product.
Now the use in mammal work is just as great. I needed to make some skin on a Cape buffalo made a quick mold of the skin for texture, mixed up klei add it to the skin smoothed it out waited a few minutes, put some rubbing alcohol on the mold pressed in the skin texture and I say find it after I painted it to match the skin color
All in all it’s a great product and will now have a full time position in my shop.
