I’m Rick Krane, and for over 30 years, I have trained fish taxidermy students from world champions to first day beginners on how to have fun learning to do their best work!
Learning anything can be a fun journey with rewarding results. My method of teaching is simple. I have broken down the study of rules and systems to make painting a step-by-step, enjoyable practice. This allows you to grow and excel with amazing simplicity.
“I have dedicated my life’s passion to shift the way people learn.”
— Rick Krane
I was perhaps just like you when it comes to learning. I struggled with the conventional methods and the ways the information was delivered, so I came up with my own set of rules to understand systems that are repeatable, with great results! I dedicated myself to being the best instructor to learn how to learn and, more importantly, how to shift the way people learn!
In the 1980’s, a full-time business started for me…lots of struggles and setbacks due to a lack of knowledge and systems!
In the 1990’s, I started to teach others what I had learned by creating my own style of teaching and systems!
In the 2000’s people sought me out to learn to create the highest standard of fish taxidermy work. I trained and consulted as an instructor/mentor to help many who became award winners and champions!
In the 2010’s I rededicated everything I know to create a “true standard” of systems that anyone can use to create award winning, breathtaking outcomes!
“Goals are a personal journey to place of fulfillment. Learning is the journey in a system that’s destination is doing what you love!”
— Rick Krane

“You can’t make a great pizza without great ingredients.”
— Franco PePe
In gathering the ingredients to make a successful learning outcome, your first step is to gather the knowledge and information. Second, you must learn about the materials and tools needed to be successful. We all start the same way… learning! Anglers Artistry’s systems of instruction create a standard of consistency that is learnable, retainable, and demonstrates a commitment to your big picture goals!
Rules are like tools. No matter where you stand on the planet, 2 +2 = 4. Thus, math is a universal language! The chord of “C” is the same all over the world, making music a universal language! When it comes to using colors for painting, you can use the rules of color as a universal language.
“Best practices + best materials = best outcomes!”
— Rick Krane
I will teach you the rules of color, as a universal language, so you can paint with the very best fish artists today!
“Your experience begins here!”
— Rick Krane
I’ll teach you how to choose the right colors to paint the beautiful fish you’ve always wanted to! Learning “how” is a way to do a task, but learning “why” is how to master your abilities!
